Ruffed Grouse, Woodcock and Pheasants

Silverton Sporting Ranch is a licensed upland hunting preserve in Maine offering pheasant, chukar and quail hunting seven days a week. You don't need a Maine hunting license on an upland hunting preserve. Lodging is available in private cabins with meals available in the main lodge. Your hunt can include clay target shooting on our 5 stand field or sporting clays course with gun rental and instruction available from a registered Maine Guide.

maine pheasant huntWe offer a variety of upland bird hunts that will suit either the beginner hunter, the experienced hunter, the young dog or just a tune up for the finished dog.

Maine is well known for ruffed grouse and woodcock hunting. Silverton Sporting Ranch is located in central Maine and has prime grouse hunting  and woodcock hunting covers including old farmsteads, second growth of pople, birch, furs, streams and  other classic covers.  Our registered Maine guides hunt with a variety of gun dogs including german shorthair pointers, setters, and brittanys.
